Jason Tostevin is an American director and writer living in New Albany, Ohio. He is best known for his short genre work, which has been celebrated at hundreds of festivals around the world. Films such as
Til Death,
I Owe You and the current
A Way Out have all played the world over, earned hundreds of nominations and garnered dozens of awards. He’s won several times at the Austin Revolution Film Festival including our
“Guest” Award for best overall film that has been named after him.
Excellent film making isn’t the only criteria for this award. In addition to his work behind the camera, he constantly gives generously of his time to help other filmmakers get their films made. He’s quick with a compassionate, honest word that belies his belief that all indie films have a place. These films often go on to win awards in their own right. That’s what being a part of a revolution is all about. While most of his impact can be felt behind the scenes, he’s appeared on screen and always stood out to the audience, most recently in the web series Rough Cut by Adam Hampton, Jason Alexander, Kenny Pits and the rest of the crew at THE OUTSIDERS.
In addition to narrative films, he has created television commercials, a broadcast series, documentaries, and brand and industrial videos.
